Atavism X.13.0 Release!
We are excited to announce that the new Atavism version has just been released.
The main scope of it has been completely rewritten, and new PvP features.
New PvP Feature Highlights
- Flexible Engagement & Karma Systems
- Faction-Based (Standard): Defined factions forge allies. They can be set on a per-region basis.
- Chaotic PvP: Attacking a neutral player flags the aggressor as PvP-ready “Purple”. If the other player won’t fight back and will be killed, then the killer will get PK points, and it will be flagged “Red”.
- Outlaw Mode PvP: Regions can be set to an “Outlaw” type, where players must manually toggle a PvP entry ability to engage with other flagged players.
PvP Territory & Sanctuary Management
- Dynamic Zoning: Combat remains region-based, with the ability to define Sanctuaries within PvP zones to exclude combat from specific areas like quest hubs.
- Regional Controls: Developers can now toggle whether groups and guilds are considered allies within a specific region.
- Map Restrictions: Specific items, such as teleport scrolls and mount effects, can now be disabled within designated PvP maps.
Progressive Ranking & Rewards
- Master Points Currency: Every kill grants Master Points, a PvP-exclusive currency used for rewards and buffs.
- Dynamic Point Scaling: The system calculates point rewards based on the rank difference; defeating a higher-ranked player yields more points, while killing lower-ranked players yields fewer.
- Stat Incentives: Reaching rank tiers can unlock and apply effects on players to boost their stats or give them other bonuses or special triggers.
Ul & Identity
- Visual Identification: Player names change color based on their faction (e.g., Red, Yellow, Blue) to quickly identify allies and enemies.
- Slay Announcements: Kills can be broadcast within an instance or world as a special announcement.
- Faction-Locked Guilds: Guild creation and membership are now tied to player factions—only players of the same faction or friendly ones can join a guild.
Happy building!
